RE: Notice of Cancellation and Demand for Refund, Peak Fitness monthly membership

Dear Peak Fitness Clubs LLC,

I subscribed to Peak Fitness monthly membership (account M-55812) on January 15, 2025. On July 1, 2026 I requested cancellation by website. After that date I was charged $49.99 on August 1, 2026, $49.99 on September 1, 2026.

Maryland's automatic renewal law (Commercial Law § 14-1329) requires a business to provide a cost-effective, timely, and easy-to-use way to cancel and immediately stop recurring charges, at least as easy to use as the sign-up method and available through the same medium; online cancellation must be easy to find and may not require contact with a live or virtual representative unless one was used to sign up.

A violation of that law is an unfair, abusive, or deceptive trade practice under the Maryland Consumer Protection Act.

Please treat this letter as written confirmation that my subscription is cancelled, and stop all further charges. I also request a refund of $99.98 for the charges made after my cancellation, by October 16, 2026, by check mailed to the address above.

I would prefer to resolve this without further steps.

Please direct any response to me in writing at the address above.

Sincerely,

Jordan Lee
